OP340. No more mate to fellate me
My ex-girlfriend was taken aback - Says it's sick if she'd suck on my sack Though a sec with my sock Would relieve my poor cock I'm now left not a lass, but a lack.
"Sack" is Mad's word of the week. I figured since I had sick, suck, and sack in L2, I'd use the other two vowel sounds in L3, with sec and sock. As for L5, I decided on the wordplay there (alas, alack) as soon as I decided to put sack on a different line. That I found a third l-word for the line was just a bonus. I alliterate when I can. Maybe I do it too much. I don't think it's a problem here, but sometimes the limerick flows better when you don't do it. You don't want to drop a better word to get a worse one that has the desired sound.
Tasteless? Absolutely. That's never been a problem for me. You can't be scared of that in this business.
Anyway, as usual, the title was the hard part. I'm not in love with it, but it was the best I could think of.
Laughable, alliterate, and totally tasteless -- just the way I like 'em, Dave!
ReplyDeleteBut, gee, I thought I was the only guy who knew about whip socks...
Really? I figured every guy did.
