OP222. What a crafter!

Reader Suzanne from Nanaimo, B.C. on Vancouver Island had this comment to #1869:
Another big round of more laughter
Beats another big round of drinks after
You're able to rhyme
Teach at the same time
You're a scholar who helps those much dafter.

Thanks, SuzYou've written an awesome verse!

  1. Inspired by an awesome rhyming tutorial of some weird, witty, nutty limericist out there. I still think it should have gotten Mad's blue ribbon.

  2. Tell me please, was this verse your first draft or
Your last? We should raise to the rafter
    Your wonderful verse
    And it may just coerce
God to smile at you in the hereafter.

...or not, you know where I stand on that. But your limerick is very good.

    1. I could be wrong, but it seems that you might be confused as to whose limerick I thought "should have gotten Mad's blue ribbon" - it was Phil's, the one titled "Puh-LEEZE", not the one posted above. The one posted above is actually a response to #1869. Puh-LEEZE.

    2. No, I understood you. I remember his limerick from the "pot" week. I'm just saying, I like your verse here too.

    3. Okay, I see now. Thanks for clarifying. Yours was pretty good too, and I noticed you kept the rhyme in L1, L2 and L5 from my verse to flow over into yours AND without repeating my words. Very clever!
