558. Just as I feared

I've stooped to plagiarizing Edward Lear, or at least being influenced by him, to wit:
There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said 'It is just as I feared! -
     Two Owls and a Hen,
     Four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!'

Here's mine:
There once was a man, very queer,
Who had shoved many things in his rear --
A pencil, a glove,
A shoe horn, a dove,
And a cold longneck bottle of beer.

Unless I had a pressing need for one or more of the items mentioned,
I'm afraid I'd be rather leary of encountering this fellow...

  2. It 'coors to me that, hansa down, the longneck lodged 'round the bock must be a German label, or some other Heinie kin.

  3. Ouch! I've been unduly pun-ished. Bud like Falstaff, I'll remain jolly. Heineken is Dutch so I guess I'll accept that as "German kin" -- and how'd you know about Hansa?
