1946. Was my birth year

I've breathed lots of air from this earth
But I've left you much more than a dearth
Life goes on, Ob-La-Di,
It is fun!  Can't you see?
And that's why I write rhymes; to give mirth.

  1. And much mirth you have given; you've certainly put your imagination to good use.

Albert Einstein said these 3 things:
-the true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination
-the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge
-imagination is more important than knowledge

Luckily, the Limericist has both traits working in his favor, but has been blessed with an extra heaping helping of imagination, making us smile, laugh, occasionally shocking us, and even educating us. Daily. Keep up the good work, or rather, good play!

  2. The check is in the mail.

BTW, that's one of the three greatest lies in the world. The other two are "I love you" and "I promise not to come in your mouth."

All kidding aside, what a nice comment you've given me, Suzanne!

  3. See? You just did it again! (like my last paragraph says) - I just smiled, laughed, got shocked, and got educated. There's no limit to this... feeding our addiction, you are.
