OP496. We haven't had our Phil
A decision that we may not like It appears Phil is going on strike! Who knows how long he might Be away from this site - Is he taking a break, or a hike?
As far as The Lim'ricist goes I don't think that our Phil even knows It does somehow appear He'll just play it by ear But my one biggest fear is he'll close.
Well, you know, even once in a while If he showed up, that would make me smile. The rhymes he has plastered All show he has mastered This language. (that bastard has style!)
(sorry Phil, couldn't find a gentler noun that rhymes... still love ya!)
'Twould appear that my presence is missed At this site called The Limericist Not enough people laughed When I practiced my craft I'll be back but meantime, don't be pissed.
Besides, Dave and Suzanne now post A lot more. Theirs are great, here's a toast. Doubt I'll come back full-time, But I'm sure I'll still rhyme An occasional bawdy riposte.
Though you've travelled to new neighborhoods, I'm so glad you're still bringing the goods As your kind reassurance Will boost my endurance, I won't feel alone in the woods.
