Limericks of three varieties: Clean, Suggestive, and Filthy! The ones in red
are R- to X-rated. Those with numeric-only labels are my own, those labeled "OP" are from Other Posters, and the ones with "PD" labels are in the Public Domain. You may email me at limericist@cox.net.

OP58. Look somewhere else
An alien dude and his wife Heard that Earth with smart humans was rife They conducted their search At the Westboro church But they found no intelligent life.
Funny, succinct, and in regards to those Kansas, gay-bashing idiots at Westboro Baptist, completely true, Dave.
However, as a practicing Christian and church-goer, I've found some very intelligent people at mine (and like anywhere else, some dumb asses!) I'm not trying to quash* your right to post anti-religious limmies -- please keep them up when they're as good as this one!
* Ooh-ooh! "Quash" is a prime candidate to be used in a limerick! This is a challenge to see who can post the best one, starting at 6:00 pm on 12/2! Okiedokey and anyone else, you're invited, too. Good luck to all!
Well, I figured even the Christians would agree with me on this one. Even those who are against homosexuality themselves view the Westboro clan as an embarrassment.
Hey, what's the deal on the "Quash Challenge"? I have prepared a modest contender, as yet untitled. How do you want us to go about posting at 1800 hours? (I assume you mean Central Standard Time which, fortunately for Dave R, covers most of Saskatchewan, but I guess Amanda Reckonwith, Boulderite and your other readers around the globe will just have to figure out the lag.) Is there a deadline? Will you, Mr. Limericist, assign "OP" numbers?
The method of presentation reminds me of the "Hidden Contest" that used to appear in GAMES Magazine. Hell, I never knew there had been one until GAMES announced the winner in a following issue!
